Not Your Average Hotel Bar: Homa at Kinship Landing

Let’s just say it: hotel restaurants and bars don’t usually have a reputation for flavor. They’re often forgettable stopovers – convenient, sure, but rarely craveable.

Homa at Kinship Landing? A total exception.

Tucked inside one of Colorado Springs’ trendiest boutique hotels – Kinship Landing – Homa brings the kind of warmth and creativity you’d expect from a local favorite, not a hotel lobby. It’s the kind of place you’d actually go on purpose.

What I Ordered

The “Homie” Breakfast Sandwich
This isn’t your average breakfast sandwich. The focaccia might’ve been my favorite part—soft, golden, and baked with rosemary and caramelized onion right into the dough. The creamy avocado, melty swiss, and over-easy egg made for such a dreamy combo, and the sunflower sprouts on top added this light, nutty crunch that pulled it all together. The lemongrass sambal aioli? A bright, citrusy hit with just enough heat to wake up your taste buds. So good.

And hear me out on the potatoes – I’m not even a breakfast potato person. Like, they have to be really good to win me over. These? Incredible. Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, perfectly salted. I couldn’t even explain what made them so addictive… but I cleaned my plate.

Oat Milk Draft Latte
This is one of their signature drinks made with their cold brew, oat milk, and a touch of vanilla. It’s smooth, lightly sweet, and super creamy without being heavy. If you’re an iced coffee person, you’ll love this.

Hot Oat Milk Latte

Yes, I got a second coffee. And yes... I got oat milk again. What can I say? I’m fully on the oat milk train and not getting off anytime soon. This latte was solid – their espresso was roasty and not bitter at all.

The Vibe

Homa is beautiful. Like, really. It’s filled with plants – big leafy ones, hanging ones, little ones tucked into corners. There’s natural light pouring in from every direction, especially in the back room where huge garage doors open up to a cute little patio in the summer.

The seating is super versatile, with big communal tables, cozy two-tops, tucked-away nooks, even a couple of hanging chairs if you’re feeling fun. Whether you’re here to catch up with a friend or crank out some work, there’s a spot for you. It’s one of my favorite places to come for remote work.

Whether you're staying at Kinship or just wandering downtown, Homa is a seriously underrated gem. Not your average hotel bar – and all the better for it.
